PULP is a series that was created as a collaboration with Bang & Olufsen for their DNA Collection. It continues the screenprint aesthetics of Screens while taking in structural cues from Bang & Olufsens design legacy.

The main collection consists of the six pieces above, which were designed to be combined with one of four 3D models depicting past, present, and future Bang & Olufsen products. These could further be combined with an audio component as well.
The extended collection
Besides the 6 pieces selected for the DNA Collection I also pledged to gift a unique iteration to every one who merged their DNA B&O NFT with my art. This offer still stands and the collection can by browsed at e.g. OpenSea. The collection is not “true” long-form as I select the pieces I mint. This is done because the algorithm was never tuned to complete non-curated minting.
The Physical
The part I was most excited about, however, was the idea of an actual physical version of this. That materialized as well for the A9 speaker, and if you own a DNA Collection NFT you can order your own. The physical is based on a separate iteration of PULP, and I must say it looks quite stunning in the living room.

The physical aspect went beyond that. I released the extended collection as CC0 licensed pieces and waived all future royalty with the intend that owners could take full stewardship of their pieces, hopefully using them to decorate a variety of things. Personally I’ve used them for pillowcases to great effect.

PULP Show — Full-screen rendering for digital frames. Use the following URL queries to control it:
- interval: Set the number of seconds until a new piece is generated
- hash: Use a specific hash rather than creating a random piece
- background: Set a background color
an example query string qould be
?interval=10&background=darkgreyto generate a new random piece every 10 seconds, flip it on it’s side because the frame was mounted in portrait, and color the unused areas with dark-grey
